That's Hot

Ooo wee. Its getting cold outside. Time to bid farewell to our friend Andy as well as the warm fall weather with an outdoor hot wine party.

Smoke Room got it all together: 20 plus humans (please bring snacks), 20 bottles worth of spiced wine, fire, tent, badminton set, and frisbee. Took about 4 cups of hot wine vapors to whack me in the face before I started to get toasty.

SR Goes The Distance

Way to come through Smoke Room. Taking risks in the name of fun. No store-bought insta-costumes at this Halloween party. Everyone came dressed in original style as requested. Our hosts debuted as samurai and tranny, and throughout the night walked in tranny geisha, a kendo couple, an 80’s salary man, Lamu chan, the Gundam driver. There were original takes on a rabbit and pumpkin, and there was me, Steve Zissou. No one got it. But you will later when you watch The Life Aquatic, I protested!!

Like that creepy voice in Field of Dreams predicted: If you build it, they will come.

Smoke Room is on the North side of Nijo St. just east of Kawabata. It’s got antiques, good food, and most importantly great vibes!
