I've been watching on the interweb (commmercial free!) since the first season and getting my mind blown into oblivion.

Despite the mainstream cheesiness (ie Mario Lopez and his constant double entendres, a few syrupy back-stories, Layla Kayleigh? etc. ) the show redeems itself in so many ways. It showcases real talent and doesn't set the stage for nasty rivalry. How refreshing for MTV! This is the America I'm talkin' about! Vitality, diversity, and creativity to the max. And the judges kill me. Shane is on the money with most all his comments and Lil mama's always wearing some funky outfit and hairdo. Not to mention her uncompromising a-tti-tude. One time she was all, "10, 10, 10 shazam!"

Kyoto Loco 2009

Bicycle enthusiasts of the world unite! A special gathering is happening this weekend Sept. 12 – 13. This is one for bike messengers and people who want to know more about this culture. There will be a race around town with checkpoints, a minibicycle competition, virtual bicycling, and if that isn’t enough for you, people stripping on bicycles. Come on down. Kyoto Loco is held at Seibu Koudou from 10am to late.
